Amber is an Artifact item that can be found by digging up Artifact Spots in the following locations:
- Adventurer's Summit: 33% chance
- Backwoods: 4% chance
- Blue Moon Vineyard: 2% chance
- Cindersap Forest: 6% chance
- The Farm: 3% chance
- The Mines: 10% chance
- The Mountain: 10% chance
- Railroad: 7% chance
It can also be purchased from the Red Junimo in the Junimo Woods or Joja Emporium, when players take the Joja Route, for 10,000g.
A single Amber is required to be donated to the Museum to complete the collection.

Amber is a universally disliked gift, with the following exceptions:

Recipes
Amber is not used in any artisan, cooking, or crafting recipes.
Bundles
When SVE Community Bundles is selected in the Configuration Options, Amber can be used to fulfill the 
Field Research Bundle on the Bulletin Board.
Quests
Amber is not used in any quests.
Tailoring
When used in dyeing, Amber results in a yellow color.
