The Highlands is an exterior region far from Stardew Valley. It can only be accessed through one route: reaching 2 hearts with Lance, seeing the cutscene with Marlon, completing his quest, and then sailing on Marlon's boat.
Fish
These fish are caught from the Outpost area, the river to the west of Highlands Forest and within the river in the Mountain.

Dock
The first area once traveling via boat, it is home to fishing in the river and after rescuing the Highlands Dwarf, a shop partially up the stairs to the left.
Highlands Dwarf's Shop
A narrow walkway straying west of the path connecting the dock and the Outpost is the Highlands Dwarf Shop, which is unlocked after freeing them from the Highlands Cavern with a Golden Key obtained from a slain Bully Rex. They sell a variety of cosmetic, mineral-adjacent furniture entirely for free.
Highlands Outpost
Located right above the path leading from the docks near Marlon's Boat, the Highlands Outpost is where Lance patrols the Highlands and its features. Blue, mystical flames are scattered around the Outpost, repelling enemies from moving too close. The Outpost building located at the top of the stairs near the docks to the far east of the map.

Crystal Cavern
Beyond the deep woods, far northwest of the Outpost, lies the entrance to the Highlands Cavern. It is infested with shadow monsters, rock crabs, plentiful ore, and valuable fish interlaced with gemstones swimming in its subterranean water bodies. It cages the Highlands Dwarf before the player emancipates them with a Golden Key.
